WNIJ asking for short story submissions

By Northern Star staff

Radio station 89.5 WNIJ has announced a short story competition titled “Three-Minute Fiction.”

Writers are asked to follow the prompt, created by local author GK Wuori. The prompt reads: “I’m a curious person. No, I’m a nosey person. No, I’m a snoop, and it’s finally gotten me into trouble,” according to a WNIJ news release.

To enter the competition, writers are asked to create a 500-word short story using the prompt as a theme or the first line of the story.

Entries must be submitted through email by the 11:59 p.m. Sept. 20 deadline to [email protected].

Winners will be invited to read their stories during the radio station’s Morning Edition on the week of Oct. 5.
