Local band Jazz in Progress will hold free a concert Tuesday in Hopkin’s Park.

The performance will start at 8 p.m. at the Dee Palmer Band Shell. Admission is open to everyone.

Jazz in Progress is an 18-piece combo that plays the best of classical jazz, swing and funk, among other genres, according to a Jazz in Progress news release. The band also fundraises for local community music programs, including the DeKalb and Sycamore Music Boosters.
