Track and field will compete in the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships this weekend for its second-straight meet in Illinois.

The meet begins noon Friday and continues 9 a.m. Saturday.

Sophomore Claudette Day, senior Latesha Bigby and sophomore Logan Tillmon will participate in their first outdoor heptathlon at the meet. Day won the pentathlon at the MAC Indoor Championships while Bigby took third. The pentathlon is comprised of four of the same events as the heptathlon.

This will be the Huskies’ third time competing at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships in four years. The Huskies have performed well at this meet in the past, winning it in 2012 and then placing third the next year.
