Track and field will participate in its first one-day competition of the outdoor season this weekend.

The Huskies will partake in the Michael Johnson Classic, which begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at Baylor’s Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium in Waco, Texas.

The field events begin at 11 a.m. while the running events will kick off at 1 p.m. in the afternoon sessions. The evening session starts at 5 p.m.

The Huskies are coming off a first-place finish at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships last weekend. Senior Latesha Bigby earned MAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after she won the heptathlon with a school-record 5,110 points at the event.
