DeKalb County nonprofit organizations will accept donations May 5 as a part of the Give Local DeKalb County fundraising event.

Give Local DeKalb County is an annual 24-hour fundraising initiative in which nonprofits can receive cash donations from community members. The initiative is a part of Give Local America, which raised more than $53.7 million in 2014.

The DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership and the DeKalb County Community Foundation will participate this year to raise funds and increase philanthropy for local nonprofits.

Community members can donate any time May 5 at givelocaldekalbcounty.org. The minimum donation is $25.
