Baseball junior catcher Johnny Zubek was named MAC West Division Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Zubek hit .500 (6-for-12) with two home runs, seven runs scored and three RBIs as the Huskies won two of three games against the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

Zubek laid down a key sacrifice bunt in the 10th inning of game two against Eastern Michigan to set up a 4-3 walk-off win. In the series finale he scored four runs, becoming the first Huskie since Jamison Wells on May 20, 2011, to accomplish the feat.
