Huskies sophomore Joo-Young Lee earned MAC Men’s Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in his career, the conference announced Thursday.

Lee took fifth place over the weekend at the FAU Slomin Autism Invitational with a season-best three-round score of 214 for one-over par. In the final round on Sunday he carded a career round of 70 for one-under par and helped the Huskies secure their second-consecutive top five finish and their third this season.

Lee is the first Huskie to win the weekly award since Jordan Wetsch on Oct. 15. The last time NIU won MAC Men’s Golfer of the Week twice in one season was in 2013.
