Women’s tennis senior Nelle Youel became the first player in program history to be selected as the MAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year, the conference announced Thursday.

Youel, selected to the All-MAC First Team, posted a record of 31-3 in 2015, going 20-0 at No. 1 singles and 11-3 at No. 1 doubles. She broke her own school record for singles wins combined between the fall and spring seasons with 28 victories. She won 27 singles matches in 2012-13.

Youel also broke the program records for career combined wins (163), career singles wins (89) and career doubles wins (74) throughout the spring season.

This is Youel’s third selection to an All-MAC team. She was named to the All-MAC First Team in 2013 and the All-MAC Second Team in 2014.
