A DeKalb man faces charges of possession and dissemination of child pornography after police said they found child porn on his computer Tuesday.

Corey D. Butler, 34, told police he possessed and shared child porn, according to a DeKalb Police Department news release. Butler is an ordained minister and volunteers as a student mentor in the DeKalb School District, police said.

The sharing of child porn happened Feb. 28 to March 2, police said. Police confiscated several computers, an iPad, ammunition and a handgun during a search of Butler’s home.

The DeKalb Police Department said it is investigating possible gun charges.
