Adrian Myers has been hired as the cross country head coach, the Athletic Department announced Thursday.

Myers, who will begin his duties June 1, will also serve as an assistant track and field coach with the distance runners.

Myers is an Oregon, Ill., native and spent his last two seasons serving as the director of operations for men’s and women’s cross country and track and field with the Purdue Boilermakers.

Myers excelled as a runner in high school and was a 10-time Illinois All-State track and field athlete.
