Motown music hits DeKalb at library event

The DeKalb Public Library will hold a concert featuring songs from Motown Records on Sunday.
Pianist Jose Sandoval will perform songs and hold a discussion about the influence of Motown on musical genres like soul, rhythm and blues and rock. Featured songs will include “My Girl,” “Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “The Tears of a Clown.”
Admission is free and the performance will begin at 2 p.m. in the library’s main level, 309 Oak St.
