Police have charged a Sycamore man with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.

On April 17, the girl told police she had been assaulted in Barber’s home on April 14, according to a Sycamore Police news release. Timothy G. Barber, 51, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault on April 22 after an investigation, police said.

Barber was taken into custody without incident at his home, police said.
