Voting is open online until April 22 for Play of the Year, an award that will be presented at the sixth Victors awards banquet on April 27 at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St.

Nominees include Paris Logan’s interception at Northwestern, Lauren Gierman’s goal at Central Michigan, Richard Hall’s goal against SIU-Edwardsville, Pete Rakocevic’s dunk against Central Michigan and Amanda Stepp’s 9.900 vault against Eastern Michigan.

Voting can be done online at NIUHuskies.com, and voters are invited to purchase $20 tickets online for the Victors, said Donna Turner, associate athletic director for communications.

“The Victors is a great event for our student athletes and our community,” Turner said. “‘The Play of the Year’ is an online vote because we want to get as many people as possible involved.”
