Baseball will square off with the Chicago State Cougars for a St. Patrick’s Day matinee.

The Huskies (9-9) will take on the Cougars (5-13) 3 p.m. Tuesday in Chicago.

NIU went 4-4 during its Spring Break trip throughout Illinois and Indiana, but it lost three of its four final games. Chicago State went 3-5 over Spring Break, but it won three of its last four games.

The Huskies begin conference play Friday against the Buffalo Bulls and are looking to enter MAC play with 10 or more wins for the first time since 2004.
