Softball swept the weekly MAC West Division Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, the conference announced Tuesday.

Freshman infielder Alaynie Woollard earned the Player of the Week award while senior pitcher Jessica Sturm took the Pitcher of the Week award.

Woollard hit .500 with three home runs, five runs and eight RBIs to go along with a .583 on-base percentage and a 1.400 slugging percentage as the Huskies went 3-0 last week.

Sturm picked up two wins in the circle last week, posting a 2.80 ERA in 10 innings pitched. Both of her wins came in a doubleheader sweep of the Akron Zips on Saturday in DeKalb.

Woollard and Sturm’s honors double the Huskies’ weekly award this season, joining sophomore first baseman Kayti Grable (Feb. 10) and freshman pitcher Keegan Hayes (March 17).
