Gymnastics senior Amanda Stepp was named MAC Gymnast of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Stepp posted two scores of 9.9 in the Huskies’ highest-scoring performance in school history against the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Sunday in DeKalb. The team scored a 195.8, which broke the previous high of 195.65 set on March 23, 2003.

Stepp’s 9.9 on vault tied her career high and ranks fourth all-time in school history. She recorded a 9.9 on floor exercise and added a 9.85 on balance beam.

The weekly honor is Stepp’s second accolade as she was named MAC Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 13.
