Track and field will look to continue its strong start to the outdoor season when it heads to the Lone Star state today.

NIU will participate in the 88th edition of the Texas Relays, starting 10:30 a.m. today and running through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.

The Huskies are coming off eight event victories in their first outdoor meet of the season at the Billiken Kickoff on Friday and Saturday in St. Louis. NIU’s eight event wins came in hammer throw, javelin, discuss, shot put, high jump, 4-by-100-meter relay, 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
