Women’s tennis senior Nelle Youel was named MAC Singles Player of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.

Youel went 2-0 over the weekend, earning victories at No. 1 singles against Bowling Green’s Megan Miller and Alix Thurman of Miami (Ohio) in straight sets to win the award. This is the third time this season and eighth time in Youel’s career she’s won the weekly conference award.

Youel’s two wins helped push her undefeated start to the spring season to 14-0 in singles play. She is also 10-0 in doubles play.

The recognition comes on the heels of Youel being named the MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
