John Skowronski receives Board of Trustees professorship

NIU has awarded the Board of Trustees professorship to psychology professor John Skowronski.
The professorship, created in 2007, is given out annually to a professor whose research is known internationally and whose instruction is well-rounded, according to the Board of Trustees website.
Skowronski will receive a $10,000-a-year stipend for the five-year professorship, according to an NIU Today news release. Skowronski has published more than 125 research articles during his career and has taught at NIU since 2000 after teaching at the Ohio State University at Newark, according to NIU.
The award will be presented to Skowronski at the Faculty Awards Ceremony and Reception 3-5 p.m. April 13 in the Altgeld Hall auditorium.
