Teacher’s aide Andrew Arison faces 19 more charges of sexual abuse of children
March 26, 2015
DeKalb police have charged teacher’s aide Andrew Arison with 19 more counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The charges are being added to aggravated criminal sexual abuse and possession of child pornography charges that were brought against Arison in mid-March. Police have identified more than nine children, all from the Early Childhood program in DeKalb, who they say were victims of Arison in 2013, 2014 and 2015, according to a DeKalb police news release.
Arison was charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse March 12 after police were told he had inappropriately touched two students at Huntley Middle School, where he worked as a teacher’s aide, according to a DeKalb Police news release.
On March 18, Arison was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, a class two felony, according to a Sycamore Police news release.
Sycamore Police seized computer equipment from Arison’s home on March 12 while assisting DeKalb Police in a separate investigation, according to police. An examination of Arison’s computer revealed thousands of images of child pornography, according to police.
Arison is being held in the DeKalb County Jail and police are continuing to investigate.
