Gymnastics scored its lowest output in nearly four weeks as it lost to the Ball State Cardinals over the weekend.

The Huskies (8-3, 3-2 MAC) lost to the Cardinals (2-7, 2-3 MAC), 194.2-193.225, Friday in Muncie, Ind. It was the Huskies’ lowest score since they posted a 192.525 in a Feb. 1 loss at the Western Michigan Broncos.

Ball State won three of the four events. NIU registered its lone win on the uneven parallel bars as sophomore Jamyra Carter scored a 9.8.

The Huskies return to action with the State of Illinois Classic 6 p.m. Saturday at the Convocation Center. They welcome the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Illinois State Redbirds and the Illinois-Chicago Flames.
