Senior guard Amanda Corral was named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District 5 women’s basketball team, according to a news release Thursday.

Corral is one of five Division I student-athletes to make the District 5 team, which comprises Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

Corral picked up the honor for the second season in a row, becoming the first player in program history to earn first-team honors in back-to-back seasons. Off the court she boasts a 4.0 GPA in pre-physical therapy. On the court she is averaging 15.4 points per game.

On Monday, Corral was MAC West Player of the Week.
