Wrestling was ranked eighth out of nine MAC teams in the final conference rankings, the MAC announced today.

The teams were ranked by the league’s head coaches in an open forum. A first-place vote earned a team four points; a second-place vote was worth three points; a third-place vote got a team two points; and a fourth place vote earned a team one point.

Individual NIU wrestlers also made the rankings in their respective weight classes. Senior Derek Elmore came in at No. 4 in the 125-pound class, and redshirt sophomore Shawn Scott took No. 3 at 197 pounds.
