Senior Amanda Corral has been named to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America team, according to an NIU Athletics news release.

Corral, a pre-phyiscal therapy major with a 4.0 GPA, is the first team selection in the NIU program’s history. She averages 17 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, according to the release. She has been named a MAC player of the week twice this season.

Corral plans to go to medical school after graduating.
