Women’s tennis hasn’t tasted defeat eight matches into the season.

The Huskies (8-0) picked up a trio of wins this weekend at the Boylan Tennis Center in Rockford.

The Huskies beat Southeast Missouri State, 7-0, Friday. They took down Valparaiso, 7-0, Saturday and concluded the weekend Sunday with a 6-1 win over Chicago State.

NIU took all three doubles points and went 17-1 in singles matches.

Playing at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles spot, senior Nelle Youel improved to 16-0 on the spring season. Senior Mary Malkin upped her record to 8-0 while playing at the No. 3 singles position.
