Freshman distance runner Kelsey Hildreth and sophomore sprinter A’Iesha Irvin-Muhammad broke one indoor track and field record apiece over the weekend at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Friday, Hildreth ran the 5000-meter race in 16:39.83 to shatter the school record by more than 30 seconds. The previous record was held for a decade by Alicja Czajka.

Saturday, Irvin-Muhammad broke the program record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.05. The previous record was set in 2012 by Rasheta Butler at 56.51.

The pair of broken records comes one week after sophomore Claudette Day broke the 60-meter hurdles, pentathlon and long jump records at the Jack Johnson Classic.
