Student Support Services is holding the Spring 2015 TRiO event Saturday in the Holmes Student Center.

This year’s theme, “I am legend, becoming legendary,” will include workshops ranging from Radio Broadcasting, Turning An internship Into a Career, Networking 101 and more. TRiO is a federal-funded program that serves the needs of first-generation college students and helps them graduate on time.

Ramona Walton, the TRiO Day event organizer, said this event is also designed for “high school juniors and seniors who are looking to go to NIU, transfer students and current NIU students who are looking into graduate school.”

More than 350 attendees are expected to show up. Registration is $40.
