Women’s tennis’ 8-0 start to the spring season has earned the team a No. 74 ranking in the country, according this week’s Intercollegite Tennis Association NCAA Division I Women’s Team Rankings.

The Huskies are tied with the University of South Alabama for No. 74 in the country. NIU is the lone MAC team ranked.

The Huskies are led by first-year head coach Tanya Gombera, a former MAC standout at the University of Akron.

The Huskies return to action 9 a.m. Saturday against the Southern Illinois Salukis in Carbondale.
