Police say report of robbery at motel ‘unfounded’

Police say a report that a man was robbed at the Red Roof Inn Tuesday night has been shown to be unfounded.
A man told police he was robbed by two men and one woman who claimed they had a knife at about 8:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Red Roof Inn, 1212 W. Lincoln Highway, according to a safety bulletin.
The man told police the suspects took his money before driving away, according to the safety bulletin.
After an investigation, police identified those involved in the incident and said the report was unfounded. The case is being investigated still, according to the safety bulletin.
