Ray Alden, vice president for International Affairs, has resigned effective March 31 and accepted the position of provost at Touro University Nevada in Henderson.
Alden served as the vice president and provost at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas until he came to NIU in 2006, where he focused on the expansion of international recruitment, study abroad programs and international partnerships, according to an NIU Today news release.
“During the next few months, I am committed to making progress on the development of a number of important international programs and initiatives. I will also work diligently to help create a smooth transition for new leadership,” Alden said, according to the release. “I will always be an advocate for NIU and will be a Huskie for life.”
