Seven graduating high school seniors will receive scholarships worth $1,500 from the DeKalb Township, according to a Monday news release.

Applicants must be residents of Illinois who plan to attend college in Illinois and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Students will need to submit an application, which may be downloaded from DeKalbTownship.org, and a 500-word essay on “the role of township government in today’s society and the future,” among other things.
