The DogHouse, which raised more than $20,000 through Kickstarter to become NIU’s first food truck, hopes to open in April.

In a message posted to Instagram, the truck’s management team, which is composed of three alumni, said it has begun purchasing meetings and is “working with the best vendors in the nation for all of our trailer, printing, creative needs.” The team’s target grand opening for the truck is April, which is National Grilled Cheese Month, according to the message.
