Wrestling failed to pick up its first MAC win, coming up short against the Ohio Bobcats and the No. 3 Missouri Tigers this weekend.

The Huskies (8-10, 0-4 MAC) fell to the Bobcats (7-4, 3-3 MAC), 21-16, Friday at the Convocation Center. Sunday, the Huskies fell victim to the undefeated Tigers (17-0, 5-0 MAC), 32-12, in Columbia, Mo.

Senior Derek Elmore (125) was the lone Huskie to walk out of the weekend with two wins. He won by a 9-5 decision against Ohio’s Zak Hassan and won by pin against Missouri’s Chase Brennan.

In addition to Elmore, redshirt freshman Jordan Northrup (133), senior Tyler Argue (141) and junior Andrew Morse (157) won their respective matches Friday.

Sunday, redshirt sophomore Trace Engelkes (174) joined Elmore as the only wrestlers to pick up wins over Missouri.
