DeKalb County’s Community Action Department and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity are offering scholarships to students in need, according to a Tuesday news release.

The scholarships are available to those who are permanent DeKalb County residents and who belong to a family with a gross income that has not exceeded 125 percent of the poverty level in the last 90 days. The application is available online.

The deadline for applications is 4:30 p.m. June 19.
