Police are looking for an unidentified white male involved in an alleged battery and domestic battery on Oct. 19 in the 1100 block of West Hillcrest Drive.

At about 1:50 a.m., police responded to a 22-year-old bystander who had intervened in a dispute between an unidentified man and woman, police said. The bystander told police he witnessed a man punching a woman and then the man knocked the bystander to the ground and struck the bystander in the head when he tried to stop the incident, police said.

The man and woman then left the scene, heading north on Annie Glidden Road, police said. Surveillance footage of the suspect was obtained Friday from 7-Eleven, 802 S. Fourth St., following an investigation.

The suspect, depicted wearing a black baseball cap, orange sweater and blue jeans, is wanted for questioning in reference to the incident. Anyone with information regarding the suspect can contact 815-748-8400.
