Clarification: Faculty Senate President Bill Pitney said the committee was interested in receiving more information about faculty tenure decisions, not any changes.

The Board of Trustees’ Governance Committee is set to present bylaw change recommendations at the board’s Dec. 4 meeting.

Board Chair John Butler said the committee should look at presidential succession, BOT evaluations and tenure changes. Butler said revisions have not been recommended since 2011.

General Counsel Jerry Blakemore said the committee should consider the revision of insurance and administrative leave policies, which have not been revised since 1998.
