Musician Lauren Manfrin performs for the first time in public Oct. 20 at Open Mic Night at The House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway. Manfrin performed folk music covers to a crowd which included her mother. “I wanted to go from playing in my house to performing onstage,” Manfrin said. “Overcoming the fear of it was the hardest part.”
