There were 16 arrests and two written warnings issued during the roadside safety checks on Annie Glidden Road over the weekend.

There were two drivers license offences, three occupant restraint offences and two alcohol/drug arrests, according to a news release from Illinois State Police. The checks were conducted by state police and NIU officers.
