The DeKalb and Sycamore police departments will conduct a child safety seat checkpoint 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday outside of Hy-Vee Floral, 2700 DeKalb Ave.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will provide free safety seat inspections as a part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, which began Sunday.

Technicians will inspect car seat installation, give advice on what kind of car seat to buy and instruct parents and caregivers on how to properly install one. Anyone with young children is welcome to attend.
