DeKalb County Community Gardens will host the annual Local Flavors Harvest Dinner 6-9 p.m. Sept. 28 at Tapa La Luna, 226 E. Lincoln Highway.

Four-course meals will be cooked using ingredients from the 40 garden locations in DeKalb County as well as other gardens within a 25-mile radius. Musician Craig Mathey will perform during the dinner.

More than 300 volunteers grew and harvested more than 20,000 pounds of produce for food pantries, community meal sites and those in need this year, according to a DeKalb County Community Gardens news release.

Tickets are $40. The dinner will serve as a fundraiser for the gardens’ operation cost.
