Gov. Pat Quinn will attend the Stevens Building groundbreaking 11:45 a.m. today at the building’s northeast corner.

The ceremony will mark the beginning of renovations and expansions to the building, which will include new heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems; a 6,000-square-foot lecture auditorium with tiered seating for up to 330 students; and a 10,500-square-foot extension to the Black Box Theatre, according to an NIU Today news release.
