Matt Johnson, Bowling Green Falcons redshirt junior quarterback, will be lost for the remainder of the season after he suffered a hip injury in the Falcons’ season-opening loss to Western Kentucky, according to the Toledo Blade.

First-year head coach Dino Babers said redshirt sophomore James Knapke will start for the Falcons Saturday.

Johnson led the Falcons in a 47-27 upset of the Huskies in the 2013 Marathon MAC Championship Game.
