Three books that should be added to everyone’s summer reading list.

“The Longest Ride”

by Nicholas Sparks: May 6

Nicholas Sparks’ new romance should have no problem attracting readers of all ages.

“The Longest Ride” is the story of two completely different couples who share loving bonds. The first couple is older and married. They cling to their memories to continue to keep their love alive. Another couple forms right out of the local college’s graduating class, and they are faced with choices about their futures.

Even though age makes these love stories different, their love for one another brings them together.

“The One and Only: A Novel” by Emily Giffin: May 20

This release from best-selling author Emily Giffin should be just the right start to any fiction lover’s summer.

“The One and Only” is the story of a young, successful woman named Shea, living and working in her hometown in Texas. She imagines her life is the one and only thing she could ever want.

When an unfortunate disaster strikes her hometown, Shea is forced to decide if the life she’s been living is the only choice she has. She is faced with decisions, truth and faith about not only herself, but others around her.

“Mr. Mercedes” by Stephen King: June 3

“Mr. Mercedes” is a thriller about a lone killer in a stolen Mercedes as he terrorizes innocent people. His first attack strikes in a quiet Midwestern town when he plows through a large crowd, killing eight people.

Only the local retired cop seems to know anything about this killer and his plans. In a race against time, the former officer must find a way to stop the killer before his next attack.
