DSW, Designer Shoe Warehouse, will open in the DeKalb Shopping Center at a yet-to-be-announced date, replacing an Old Navy store that closed in early 2012.

Mayor John Rey said DSW will complement other apparel and fashion retailers along Sycamore Road. Roger Hopkins, DeKalb’s economic development consultant, said the city estimates DSW will open in early spring.

A shopping behavior survey ranked DSW as one of the most desired retail businesses not located in DeKalb.

DSW has more than 350 stores nationwide and also sells handbags and accessories. Information on the specific opening date will come when DSW selects a date.
