Soundtracks embellish movies

The movie “Maleficent” includes a track by artist Lana Del Rey.

One of the best things about movies are their soundtracks.

Soundtracks provide a great way for fans to hear the sounds of the movie and to find new music. This year is no exception with some toe-tapping songs.

‘Once Upon a Dream’ by Lana Del Rey

This dark take on a fairy tale classic is for the movie “Maleficent.” I love how Del Rey has managed to take such a classic Disney princess song and make it dark and eerie; the sound really goes well with the darkness of the trailer. The song is perfect for Rey’s vintage image.

I also really like how the song — with its trumpets and instrumentals — sounds like it’s from the ’20s.

“Bounce” by Iggy Azalea

“Bounce” is part of the “Vampire Academy” soundtrack. This is the perfect song for the movie because it is a great dance song that is high energy.

The music video is insane and Bollywood-themed. Azalea is throwing colored powder one second and the next second she is dancing in the most beautiful saris. One of the most memorable parts of the video is at the beginning when Azalea comes riding in on a elephant.

This song is an excellent choice for the movie and can be used in an intense fight scene between two vampires.

“Something So Right” by Celine Dion

This song is going to be part of the “Muppets Most Wanted” soundtrack. The song hasn’t been released yet, but I’m sure it will be a hit. Dion did do a pretty good job the last time she sang a song for a movie — a little film called “Titanic.” Hopefully she will include some of my favorite Muppets in her song. How funny would a duet with her and Miss Piggy be? It would be a battle of the divas.

“Everything is Awesome” by Tegan and Sara with The Lonely Island

This song is fun and upbeat and makes me laugh just listen to it, it really goes with how energetic “The Lego Movie” is supposed to be. Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island are an odd match, but they make the song about how everything is really awesome. The song has a very techno vibe that makes the listener nod his or her head to the beat and just be in a good mood.

My favorite part of the song is when The Lonely Island boys are singing; no matter what they are signing about, I can’t help but laugh and want to be friends with the guys.
