The DeKalb Public Library received an $11.6 million check as a grant.
The check was given by Secretary of State Jesse White Monday.
The money will go toward the library’s remodeling project, which will cost an estimated $24 million, according to the Daily Chronicle.
The construction includes adding more parking along with another 46,000 square feet.
Construction is predicted to begin in March and end in July.
