KishHealth offers courses, programs to community

KishHealth System will be holding the following upcoming community wellness programs to help during the cold winter months:
Blood pressure clinic
A KishHealth System health professional will monitor participants’ blood pressure weekly.
Each participant will receive blood pressure information and a tracking card.
Appointments aren’t necessary and participation is free.
The clinic will be open 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Monday at Kishwaukee Hospital.
CPR healthcare provider renewal
This course will be held in order to renew CPR skills for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a variety of situations.
These healthcare providers may include nurses, paramedics, EMTs and respiratory therapists.
The course is $40 per person. Participants must submit a copy of their current CPR card. A completion card will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
CPR Healthcare Provider Renewal is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 at KishHealth System Emergency Medical Services, 2727 Sycamore Road.
Diabetes get togethers
Diabetes Get Togethers offer participants the opportunity to learn from others’ experiences and share their own stories.
All people with diabetes, as well as the family and friends of people with diabetes, are welcome.
The meetings are free, but registration is required in order to participate.
Diabetes Get Together is 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 18 at the KishHealth System Diabetes Education Center, Kish Hospital Dr. in DeKalb.
