Blazers, flowing tops prove stylish for winter concerts
November 11, 2013
Cold weather shouldn’t be an excuse to not dress right at the next concert you attend.
Most students who wear sweatshirts to local shows rely on function over fashion. Have no fear: These trendy tips will put you at center stage at the next show.
One winter concert style for women is a flowing top paired with a leather jacket or blazer. If you don’t feel like wearing jeans or leggings, wear a dress and tights. Complete the outfit with a light jacket.
Men will look awesome wearing a military jacket or blazer for winter concerts. Jackets and men are a great combo during the colder months and especially at rock shows. Since the temperature is dropping, these jackets do a great job in keeping men stylish and warm. A fitted blazer is preferred for classier gigs.
Music lovers might have to wait outside until the venue opens, so keep your legs covered up. Dark jeans are a solid pants choice for almost any concert. Jeans are very versatile and are good for any genre of music.
The last and perhaps most important part of your outfit at a winter show is shoes. Heels can be cute at the beginning of a show, but after three or four hours you’ll realize what a mistake you made. A better choice for the night would be boots or laced shoes. When wearing boots, add a leg warmer. This will keep your legs nice and toasty throughout the show.
Guys can wear tennis shoes for winter concerts, but if they’re concerned about them getting them dirty, wear boots. For socks combined with boots, the thicker the better. This is helpful for getting to the concert and will keep you comfortable when rocking out.
