Feed’em Soup, 122. S. First St., is bringing healthy lunch options to the table.

Feed’em Soup’ new soup and salad bar aims to offer healthy food items to the community. The nonprofit meal provider service runs like a restaurant and offers food to anyone, regardless of ability to pay.

Starting Nov. 13, soup and salad will be available 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Options are dine-in or to go. The cost is $6.49, and each day will feature soups of chili, fresh bread and a seasonal salad bar. The weekly event will take the place of other fundraisers.
