Cook up crab rangoons for parties
November 17, 2013
Crab rangoons are my favorite snacks to bring to parties or small get-togethers. This delicious appetizer isn’t too difficult to make.
What you’ll need:
– 3/4 cup of crab — I used imitation crab meat because it makes the recipe much easier.
– 3 ounces of cream cheese (softened)
– 1/4 cup of mayonnaise or olive oil mayonnaise
– Three chopped green onions
– 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper — If you don’t like spicy food, don’t add a lot because this gives the rangoons a little kick.
– Salt and pepper
– One tube of crescent rolls
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place tin foil on a cookie sheet.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, and taste the mixtures to see if you want to add the cayenne pepper for a little kick.
Unroll the crescent rolls. Pinch the rolls together where they would normally tear apart. Cut each giant square in half to make two smaller squares. Evenly put the mixture into the squares’ middle.
Starting with one corner, fold the dough over the mixture, and tuck it under if possible. Repeat this step with the other side of the roll. Make sure the fold is tight and press it in to seal the dough. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown. Let the crab rangoon sit for a few minutes. The rangoon is delicious when warm.
Make these right before you leave for you party. Once you get to the party, simply warm them up for a few minutes.
